Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):
Graduates of BA programme will be able to:

  1. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of arts/humanities/social sciences subjects and their application in societal context.

  2. Develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills to assess historical, cultural, political, literary, and social phenomena.

  3. Pursue higher studies, research or careers in education, public service, media, civil services, etc.

  4. Uphold ethics, social responsibility, and cultural awareness in professional and personal life.

Programme Outcomes (POs):
On completion of BA, students will be able to:

PO1. Demonstrate knowledge of major disciplines (e.g. History, Political Science, Sociology, English etc.).
PO2. Think critically and analyze issues in arts/humanities.
PO3. Communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
PO4. Understand, appreciate and apply ethical norms, diversity, gender sensitivity.
PO5. Employ research skills: gather, analyze, use secondary/primary sources.
PO6. Adapt to changing socio‑economic environments; possess skills for employability.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):
Depending on subject specialization, for example:

  • PSO1: In languages, achieve proficiency in reading, writing, translation.

  • PSO2: In social sciences, ability to use qualitative & quantitative methods to study societal issues.

  • PSO3: In fine arts or creative subjects, develop artistic skills and ability for creative expression.

Bachelor of Science (BSc)

PEOs:

  1. Build solid foundational knowledge in sciences (including subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, etc.).

  2. Equip students with analytical, experimental, investigative skills.

  3. Prepare students for careers in research, industry, higher education, or applied science roles.

  4. Encourage lifelong learning and ethical scientific practice.

POs:

PO1. Apply scientific knowledge and methodology to observe, experiment, analyze and draw conclusions.
PO2. Solve scientific problems using critical thinking and quantitative skills.
PO3. Use laboratory, instrumentation and simulation tools effectively.
PO4. Communicate scientific findings effectively (written & oral).

PSOs:

  • PSO1: Specialization‑wise skills (e.g. in Biology → microbiology techniques; in Physics → instrumentation etc.).

Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)

PEOs:

  1. Impart thorough understanding of commerce subjects like accounting, taxation, business law, finance etc.

  2. Develop professional, analytical and decision‑making skills for business & finance sector roles.

  3. Prepare students for professional certifications (CA, CMA, CS) or competitive examinations.

  4. Encourage entrepreneurial mindset, ethics, ability to adapt to business environment.

PO1. Demonstrate understanding of key business subjects: accounting, finance, taxation, law etc.
PO2. Analyze business data and financial statements; use quantitative tools.
PO3. Make informed decisions in business contexts.
